On July 3, 2024, iGDP, in collaboration with the Anhui Institute of Economic Research, organized the “Workshop on Accelerating Large-Scale Equipment Replacement: Unleashing the Potential of New Quality Productive Forces”. The event was designed to systematically advance the renewal of large-scale equipment and to bolster the transformation and upgrading of Anhui's manufacturing sector. Prominent experts in energy transition, industrial advancement, and finance joined over 40 specialists from Anhui, Guangdong, and Shanxi, who are actively engaged in this field, for an in-depth dialogue. The discussions focused on the policy developments, practical implementation, opportunities, and challenges associated with large-scale equipment replacement and consumer goods trade-in, as well as innovative financial support mechanisms.
