Industrial Green and Low-Carbon Transition: Key Breakthroughs and Innovative Practices in Heating Decarbonization
On July 25, the Institute for Global Decarbonization Progress (iGDP) hosted the Forum: "Industrial Green and Low-Carbon Transition: Key Breakthroughs and Innovative Practices in Heating Decarbonization." The event was moderated by Liu Jingning, Research Analyst at iGDP. Keynote presentations were delivered by: Xia Jianjun, Associate Professor, School of Architecture, Tsinghua University; Che Yang, Research Director, Beijing Geke Energy New Technology Co., Ltd.; Zhou Nan, Chief Scientist, University of California, Berkeley; Jeffery Rissman, Industrial Research Director, Energy Innovation. During the roundtable discussion, the moderator and three guests engaged in in-depth discussions on "Key Breakthroughs and Innovative Practices in Heating Decarbonization," interacting with both online and offline audiences. The event concluded with closing remarks by Liu Jingning.

Building Zero-Carbon Parks: From Top-Level Design to Practical Implementation
On July 8, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), and the National Energy Administration (NEA) jointly issued the "Notice on the Construction of Zero-Carbon Parks." The notice emphasizes the active and steady advancement of carbon peak and carbon neutrality targets, accelerating the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development. It supports regions with favorable conditions to take the lead in establishing a number of zero-carbon parks. These parks will gradually improve related planning, design, technological equipment, business models, and management standards. The goal is to systematically and step-by-step promote the low-carbon and zero-carbon transformation of various parks, helping them and enterprises reduce carbon emissions while enhancing efficiency. This effort will provide strong and solid support for achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals.
